Meet Rev. Lox
Reverend Loxley O'Connor
Reverend Loxley O'Connor, affectionately known as Rev. Lox, is an Itinerant Elder in the African Methodist Episcopal Church. He is the proud husband to his wife, Denise, father to three Millennial daughters Nekeya, Shakisha, and Safiya, and one Gen Z granddaughter, Marley.

From a decade-plus career at PriceWaterhouseCoopers, to directing business and financial affairs at one of the largest churches in African Methodism, Rev. Lox has been a trusted financial advisor for companies and nonprofits for more than thirty years.
​
Rev. Lox. is also passionate about all of God's children's financial wellness. Though never shy about being a Baby Boomer, Rev. is always intergenerational in his approach to teaching and advising on faith and finance nuances. God has blessed him with the ability to guide individuals, couples and families toward financial wellness in a relevant and trustworthy way.

Today, Rev. Lox serves as Chief Financial Officer and GIVE Lead for Kingdom Fellowship A.M.E. Church (KFAME) in Silver Spring, Maryland, where the Rev. Matthew L. Watley is the Senior Pastor.

From financial workshops to global missions, Rev. Lox uses his gifts to serve the Lord with gladness at all times.
Called to the ministry in 1996, Rev. Lox counts it all joy whenever given the opportunity to serve the Kingdom of God in any capacity that utilizes his gifts and expertise. Rev. Lox recognizes to who much is given, much is required.

Daily, Rev. Lox serves as the GIVE lead for Kingdom Fellowship AME Church. In this role, Rev. Lox oversees the financial strategy and day-to-day financial management of the church.
Rev. Lox is the Economic Development Strategist for the Second Episcopal District of the A.M.E. Church and chairs the Second Episcopal District’s Economic Development Corporation under the leadership of Bishop James L. Davis.
He identifies economically viable opportunities, structures and negotiates acquisition deals, prepares financial packages, secures loans, as well as oversees capital campaigns.
In 2005, Rev. O’Connor co-founded Bindura Christian Fellowship Inc. and its sister organization, TransGlobal Charities. These two missions driven organization serve churches and para-church ministries and their membership in West Africa and the Caribbean.
Rev. Lox's Faith and Finance series is his unique approach to teaching the Biblical principles of financial literacy. In less than five years iterations of this multi-session course has helped to lead Christians to homeownership, elimination of debt and overall financial health.
